Pizza was decent, for the price you can't go wrong. The staff was awesome! The guy behind the pizza counter is enough to make you come back. Great people

Slow service, missing items, and bland lasagna. April,7, 2026 I ordered the lasagna combo that was supposed to come with a side salad and bread from the Brevard location, and the entire experience was a disappointment. It took a full 30 minutes just to get my food, and they completely forgot the side salad. The service was incredibly frustrating—I watched multiple people who ordered after me get their food quickly, while I had to repeatedly ask the staff about my order. When I finally got the food, it wasn't worth the wait. The lasagna looked incredibly messy and gooey, and the flavor was completely bland. Between the slow, unorganized service and the poor food quality, I won't be coming back.

I was in town for a conference, and with my boss and her boss. The big boss suggested pizza and beer to avoid a large group activity. I found Pie In The Sky and it had decent reviews and looked nice. I called and asked if they served beer and was greeted with an enthusiastic “we got beer and liquor come on down!” Our uber driver told us that we were in the French quarter and gave us a quick rundown of the area. The place is like a little NYC pizza place. We sat at a table on the patio and had various slices and local beers. The guy making all the pizza was cool and appreciate my compliment about the music. I tried their gyro pizza and it was phenomenal! The bartender suggested a local ipa and it was delicious. Maybe the locals won’t like me saying this, but if you visit Charlotte and want a low key, super cool spot for pizza and beer, Pie in the Sky is what you want. They had other food on the menu, but they scratched the exact itch we had. Five stars. This is what you’re looking for.

We got to-go boxes of pizza to celebrate my coworker’s departure. One downside is that they don’t deliver, which was a bit inconvenient—especially since the rehab hospital is also in Uptown. That said, the pizza itself was good. They serve really huge slices, and if you’re looking for that New York–style pizza, this is definitely a spot to check out. The pizzas shown in the picture are cheese, pepperoni, and margaritas. Overall, a good experience, and I’d like to come back and actually visit the location in person next time.

The slices are big, I already took a bite of one before taking my photo. The flavor is a great combination of fresh ingredients and people that know how to make pizza taste great from first bite to last. Definitely has a NYC size and feel, but better taste and more options. There were 15 different pizzas available to choose from. I had the margarita with tomato and basil as well as the garlic mushroom. The garlic mushroom used a white cheese sauce with some Italian seasoning. I am very impressed and look forward to trying more soon. The staff was energetic, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I have found the best pizza spot in Charlotte!
